Reflection to Action

By:

Team WISE

Starting the year and closing it are similar in many ways. Both involve a cycle of reflection, organization, prioritization, and preparation.

In our panel discussion "Reflection to Action" our panelists Carin Snyder Schade (Johns Manville), Lindsey Kemmerich (LK Align), and Katie Capuzzo (WISE) shared ways on how you can close the year well and gear up for the next.

Here are some key takeaways to guide you in your professional journey.

Stay organized.

Figure out the best method to schedule your time and prioritize tasks. Try a tool like Tick Tick or simply utilize your existing calendar with color blocks and reminders. Get in the habit of checking your calendar a day in advance so you're mentally prepared for what's ahead.

Take time to rest.

Both around the holidays and throughout the year, it's important to reflect on what is/isn't working. Consider regular journaling, movement, breath work to keep your nervous system healthy. When your time off is approaching, go through your to-dos and proactively move anything that can wait until your return. By doing this, you're clearing your mind to be fully present while away.
