Each month, WISE selects a member of the community to share their sales knowledge and story. We are excited to announce Natalie Pope as our February 2024 Member of the Month! She joined the WISE community in 2022.
The most helpful pieces of career advice I have ever received are three keywords: comprehension, retention, and execution. In any role, take time to comprehend what is taking place. Allow me to identify essential skills to become more comfortable and thrive in the role. Secondly, I retain the necessary information to increase my knowledge and support others (team and clients). And lastly, execute by taking action to meet the demand of the strategy. These three actionable items are what I live by, and they have further enhanced my skills and fostered collaboration with my colleagues and clients.
This time of year, I look forward to improving myself. January and February are my months to set the tone personally and professionally. During this time, I reviewed my vision board and identified improvement areas. In addition, I take the time to review my “GO GIRL” note log that I use to capture my professional successes. I review and prepare myself for my evaluation while looking back at projects to identify what worked well and what could be better. Ultimately, I look forward to polishing up my skills this time of year.
I joined WISE for three reasons. First, I joined to increase my knowledge. WISE is an excellent opportunity to increase my awareness using the pods, monthly newsletters, and virtual events—secondly, the mentorship program. Before joining WISE, I felt stuck. My internal career mentor retired, and I wanted to keep up with knowledge sharing. And lastly, the networking opportunity is excellent. I connected with some great women with similar interests; it is an excellent opportunity to exchange insight and learn.
