Each month, WISE selects a member of the community to share their sales knowledge and story. We are excited to announce Emmett Smith as our January 2022 Member of the Month!
Emmett is currently a Sales Manager at Network for Good and joined the WISE community in 2021.
There are many rewarding things about being a sales leader -- for me, the most rewarding part is getting to help others develop new skills, overcome challenges, and grow in their career. As a sales leader at a company where things move quickly and no one day is ever the same, this is especially meaningful and exciting, because there is always more to work towards together. I enjoy that as a sales leader I get to wear many hats as I work with our sales team and other departments - ranging from coach & motivator to analyst & strategist, to therapist, and more. I am also very grateful that as a leader, I get to play a key part in ensuring that our workplace culture is one that everyone can enjoy and be proud of.
The WISE membership is valuable in many ways. I've thoroughly enjoyed the pod groups, webinars, and community here, and I'm excited to keep learning from all of you in 2022. For me, the most impactful and exciting part of WISE has been the mentorship program -- as someone at a smaller company, where internal mentorship has been harder to pin down, the WISE Mentorship program is a game-changer!
In 2022, I'm focused on stepping out of my comfort zone, taking more risks, and devoting more time to upskilling myself. I'm also really interested in learning more about our tech stack and the data within it, as I'd like to leverage it more to maximize revenue and inform our go to market teams.
