WISE Member of the Month: January 2023

Each month, WISE selects a member of the community to share their sales knowledge and story. We are excited to announce Julie Runnels as our January 2023 Member of the Month!Julie is currently working as Sales Operations Specialist at Planet DDS and joined the WISE community in 2022.

What's the most helpful piece of career advice you've ever received?

I don’t know that I can recall just one helpful piece, but I truly believe that you should be happy in your career and not settle. I absolutely love my job and company and feel fortunate to have my coworkers and managers around me. I also recently have heard two sentences that stuck with me: Be more intentional about the work that you’re doing and get comfortable with being uncomfortable – I think about these often at the end of a long day.stronger.

What's your favorite part about WISE?

I am appreciative of the women that are cheering for you on the sideline. Even if they aren’t aware of who I am or what company I work for, they are still happy to chat with me and guide me! The resources that are available are also extremely impressive and help to connect you with a community. I also have recently met with my mentor, and I think that having an outside perspective on my career is invaluable.

What's your go-to activity to unwind?

Believe it or not, Orange Theory Fitness is my time to unwind. Between the serotonin boost I feel after or the way I feel when I think of my workouts. I also love just relaxing and hanging out with my pup, Cooper. He is such a happy pup; I love his energy and feel instantly happy when I see him!
