Aliza is currently working as Account Executive at Hopin and joined the WISE community in 2022.
My favorite thing about sales is that I get paid to do things I would do for free - meet new people, learn new things, travel (when safe), build strategies, deliver presentations / pitches, and negotiate. Not only that, but it’s made those areas in my personal life so much stronger which is invaluable.
Anything outdoors! I recently moved to Seattle from NYC and have started going on hikes regularly which has been amazing during the summer months
Try to connect what you’re selling to your personal mission/passion(s) so that you’re curious. Curiosity is the #1 skill that will allow you to push through and make the day to day grind completely worth the challenge. You’ll also become more confident and trusted by your buyers. Bonus: it makes the job more fun when you’re thinking WIIFM! If you’re not naturally curious about anything that you’re currently selling (think of your product, buyers, market, pain points, etc.) that’s ok! Try thinking bigger picture and if it’s not there, it doesn’t mean sales isn’t for you. Just try selling something different.
